A "Rocksim Fin" is a Laser cut fin, out of the material you select, with exactly the shape and dimensions of the fin in the Rocksim.rkt design file you submit. Your design file is sent through thru several post processing programs, which produce an output file which drives the Laser cutting machine.

Email only the "filename".rkt file. Specify the "filename" in the "size" column of the order form and (if you have more than one fin type) the fin name SPELLED EXACTLY AS IT APPEARS IN THE ROCKSIM FILE must be in the "Q" column. When placing the order on-line just email the file and place the date the e-mail was sent in the notes section of the on-line order form (which will appear during checkout) along with ALL the information you would normally have on the "semi-custom order form" . The additional $ amount needed will be charged to the same credit card you used to place the on-line order.

If the shape "looks" smooth on paper it will end up fairly smooth on the finished part. At most some touch up sanding may be required. We have had good results just using the Rocksim defaults when creating radius's.

If you need 25 or more fins, first order 3 or 4 (to make sure it's what you want) and (at the same time) request a quote for the quantity you wish to purchase. We will then save your design and assign a quote # that you can use to order them at any future date. It is important that you request the quote with your initial order since we do not normally keep any designs "on file"

Just that the I.D. be less than the O.D. If the I.D. is larger you won't get anything back!
